History- Was born to a mother who really didn't want him. It only got worse when she found him talking to ghosts in his bedroom at a ten months old. After eight years of her emotional and verbal abuse she sold him to a whore house for drug money. There he was raped until the time he turned almost fourteen. He met an older woman who saved him from the whore house and turned his life worse than that. Escaping at the age of fifteen and a half.
Ending up in the realm of phoenix where he met his half sister. He also met a few nice women and one of which became his best friend. When River vanished he left to find her. Ending up here in Storybrooke. Due to some time in the realm of Phoenix he somewhat got over his fear of women. He now no longer bolts under things whenever a woman shows up. He is still afraid of them but now knows there are good women out there. However, should he be touched unexpectedly or approached unexpectedly he most likely still would bolt under something. His best friend River was helping him work through the trauma that caused this fearful skittishness.
After his best friend was attacked and hurt in another realm he saw that it was too much for her to live there. So he packed them up and brought them far from there to this new land. He hopes to start a new life with his bestest.

What he has never told anybody was the experiments and pain he was put through behind the scenes. The whore house was a duel purpose. Whore house and undercover experimentation building. During the later day and sometimes early day. The only reason he escaped was the project began to fall apart so the lady who bought or "freed" him was just another member of the Manticore project. He still remembers the guy now known as Koza. He had been subjected to testing and torture to see what all he could do and handle. His sensitivity to sunlight was exploited with him being exposed to the sun without covering and his skin burning. Then was healed to see what effect it had on him.
There was one guy he had gotten close to. He was in a room next to the guy now known as Koza and was there when he killed the girl named heather. He will never talk of this to anyone. He surpressed these memories because being used an abused from eight up was painful enough without adding in the torture he went through. He had come to consider the one known as Koza now as an older brother. (added in based on conversation with Koza.)
